Last year, late in the year, I had each of my 5 children draw names for a sibling to make something for for Christmas. Well DD#1 had DD#3 name. She chose to do a plastic canvas barn for her, for her Littlest Pet Shop toys. Needless to say, she is still working on it; we got started on it way to late. So today that 13 y.o. was working on the gift, and was sitting on the floor. Time to eat, and she laid her stuff down, and proceeded to push herself up from the floor. In doing so, thought that it would be really fun to take a trip to the ER, so made sure that she pushed right on top of the needle that was being used. Yes, you got that right, she pushed the needle through her hand, not totally, but very close. I really need to post a picture of it, but am unable to right at the moment. She had her bouts of tears, but did not scream or nothing! She LOVED the pain medicine that the hospital gave her though; it made her eyes "go in circles". lol She was a great trooper through it all. Hey, she got a dinner date with daddy out of it. :)
